What Is Performed in a Vehicle Tune Up?

Vehicle tune ups are very important to the longevity and overall performance of your vehicle.  In today’s fast paced world, most people might not have time for a tune up and barely just have time to get an oil change done.  However, tune ups are generally required once every two years or once every 30,000 miles, whichever comes first. (Check your vehicle’s manual for the most accurate recommendation.) Every car is different, that is why a tune up is very specific to your vehicle and the needs of your vehicle.  Don’t wait until you find out something is wrong with your car because at that point, it will just be repairs rather than a tune up.  A tune up is meant to be a proactive service to prevent future problems from arising.  Just like with any investment, maintenance is key to getting the most out of it.

What exactly is included in a tune up?  Well that varies from vehicle to vehicle, but here at Quality Lube Plus we make sure to check the conditions and wear of all vital components.  We will inspect your oil and fuel filters, as well as all of your belts and fluids.  In addition to that, we test your ignition systems, oxygen sensors, spark plugs, distributor caps, and rotor for any damage and/or wear.  In the event that we do find any damage to said components, we will repair and replace them for you and get you back on the road.  It is much better to find a problem before it causes major damages that could cause a bigger repair bill.  So if you never had a tune up to your car, or you feel that your car can perform better than it is now, feel free to stop by our shop and we’ll repair or replace the part you need to get you back on the road.
